The horror of the night,
Is etched deep in her mind,
As the darkness took over,
Leaving her shattered and blind.
Her innocence was stolen,
By an act so cruel and vile,
Leaving her scarred forever,
And with a pain that’s hard to smile.
She trusted the wrong one,
And paid a price so dear,
Now all that’s left is agony,
And a life forever in fear.
The scars may not be visible,
But the wounds are deep inside,
As she tries to make sense of a world,
That’s so cruel and unjustified.
She screams for help, but no one hears,
The tears fall silently,
For how can she ever move on,
From a trauma that’s so mighty.
The society that blames her,
And questions her every move,
Has no idea of the horror,
That she has had to prove.
Her body was violated,
Her soul was shattered apart,
Yet, in a world so callous,
She’s left alone with a broken heart.
We must stand up and fight,
For justice and for what’s right,
For every victim of this heinous crime,
Deserves a future that’s bright.
Let’s end the stigma and the shame,
And bring the perpetrators to justice,
So that no one else has to suffer,
From the trauma of rape and its abyss.
