Why I Never Wore Makeup—And Still Get Complimented for My Glow by Shraddha Ahuja Ramani

I’ve never worn makeup—not because I’m against it, but because it never felt like me. From the moment she is born, a girl is conditioned for marriage—taught to walk softly, speak gently, and never challenge the norm. Before she even says “I do,” she must pass society’s endless tests—be fair, slim, pure, and obedient. “Dear Men, Stop Misinterpreting My Actions: A Woman’s Declaration”

My kindness, my strength, my professionalism—they are not signs of submission or longing. Stop misinterpreting my independence as an opportunity to diminish it. Respect me for who I am: a woman who owns her worth and will not tolerate being reduced to anyone’s convenience.
